Fro

Fro's senior portrait session was pretty crazy - we started afternoon and photographed until dark! From the moment we first met Fro we could sense a mutual creative connection with her. As a result, we pushed things a little further and more conceptually than we have before with senior portraits. We hope you enjoy the result as much as we do :)Personality portraits in a dinosaur shirt using pink and green gels from Fro's rockstar senior session at McClanahan Studio in Ames, IA!Images of Fro in a rainbow tutu and happy rain boots on an Iowa farm. Jocelyn Part 1

It's no secret that working with musicians is one of our favorite things to do. There isn't much of a scene in central Iowa, so when an Iowa band comes along that's kicking butt and taking names – it's pretty darn exciting. Jocelyn is headquartered in Iowa City and is on the verge of releasing their first EP. You can hear their first single on their Facebook page. We got a sneak preview of the EP and it's gonna be good! It's We photographed promo images for the band in 2 parts, the second of which will be released down the road. Enjoy part 1 and make sure you check out their tunes and share the love!

Julie & Nick

Julie & Nick's afternoon ceremony was at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge, IA. Downtown Fort Dodge provided some awesome urban locations for pre-ceremony portraits of the couple and wedding party. Julie got pink boas for her bridesmaids, which was very fitting (they were a fun bunch of girls to hang with). Julie also had her insanely cute nieces and nephews (3 of each) as flower girls and ring bearers. They provided entertainment and comic relief throughout the day. Julie & Nick took a limo ride to their evening reception at the Fort Dodge Country Club. The reception tables took up two entire rooms with the main festivities happening on one side of the club and a projector playing them in real-time on the other side. We're thankful we got to be a part of this day and wish Julie and Nick much happiness in their future!
