Dijana & Regan

Dijana and Regan's intimate outdoor ceremony was held at Reiman Gardens at sunset. The celebration was a small gathering of family and close friends. Dijana's choice of yellow Calla Lillys for her bouquet and decoration created a beautifully subtle accent to the natural backdrops of the day's events. For wedding party, the couple had only a Best Man and Maid of Honor (both siblings) which further enhanced the intimacy of the occasion and enabled them to be more family focused. Pre-ceremony we photographed Dijana and Regan's First Look followed by their portraits on a scenic bike path where the couple frequently takes walks. Dijana brought a bright red, old-school bicycle that made for some stellar photographs! The reception (also at Reiman) consisted of an indoor seating area connected to an outdoor dance floor. The food was catered by The Cafe (the best restaurant in Ames!) and included hors d'oeuvres, drinks, dinner and dessert. It was an unbelievably delicious spread that still has us talking about it :) The day was truly a joyous occasion to photograph. Dijana and Regan - we wish you all the best as you move forward in your life together and kick some marital butt!

Jeni & Craig

Jeni and Craig have a great style that made their wedding at the Botanical Center in Des Moines incredibly unique. For starters, the couple’s attire was classic. Jeni’s dress, hair and jewelry emanated retro charm and the grey suits worn by Craig and his groomsmen were a perfect compliment. Their non-traditional ceremony lasted only a few minutes and revolved mainly around their heart-felt vows. Their reception immediately followed in a back room at the Botanical Center. Jeni and Craig’s Ring Bearer made for several memorable moments caught on camera (see below). Also, it’s safe to say that Craig has the sweetest beard we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! We’re glad we got to be a part of this awesome couple’s day and invite you to enjoy a few of our favorite images from their wedding:

2010 RAYGUN Summer Catalog

A while back the groovy folks over at RAYGUN (the greatest store in the universe - head on over and start shopping now) drove down to the studio for me to photograph their Summer Catalog. It just dropped over the weekend and it's looking hot! You can pick up copies at our studio or at their store in Des Moines. The only instruction I was given for the shoot was that everything had to be photographed on a white background (RAYGUN's signature style), but they let me get pretty creative within that restraint. Here's a look at the spreads (and you can download the whole thing here): p3 lightbox gal placeholder 2010 RAYGUN Summer Catalog
