Sarah and Lyle's wedding day unfolded against the beautiful backdrop of Ocean Edge Resort in Cape Cod, MA. The occasion was intimate with approximately 50 close friends and family members enjoying an extended weekend together at the resort. The girls got ready at the Ocean Edge Mansion, and we photographed most of our portraits on the mansion grounds. Sarah was adventurous and did some tree climbing (see below) in the name of photographic awesomeness! We hit the golf course with the groomsmen, who's grey suits and cigars were a perfect combination of classy and fun. In the late afternoon everybody walked down to the beach for a barefoot beach ceremony. Sarah's youngest sister was one of the cutest flower girls we've ever met and performed her duties with excellence. The reception was held afterwards at the Linx Pavilion. After a healthy amount of dancing we noticed a heavy fog setting in outside so we ventured onto the golf course for an epic goodnight portrait to end the day. We couldn't imagine the day going any more perfectly and we're glad we got to be a part of it! Congrats Sarah and Lyle!
Today I'd like to share a series of images I rediscovered recently. These were shot last year on our Canon G11. These are some favorite snaps from an afternoon spent with good friends at Coney Island. I'd wanted to visit Coney for a long time because one of my favorite bands wrote a song about it. Click here and listen to it (it's what I listened to while going through the images and it might create an interesting soundtrack to your viewing experience). The afternoon was a blast and Coney had a charming feel to it. It was almost as if we were stuck in an old movie. The images tell the story better than my words:
Kristin and Patrick’s beautiful seaside wedding was an elegant affair. The wedding was held on the beach at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The small guest list consisted exclusively of family and close friends, creating a very intimate atmosphere. One of the best parts for us was getting to know Kristin and Patrick’s families! They shuttled us to and from the airport and gave us rides around the island on our quest to find perfect photo locations. We were treated with incredible hospitality and given unrestricted access to document the intimate moments of the day (there were lots of happy tears). We are so grateful for being entrusted with the task of documenting this fantastic day and are excited to share a few of our favorite images from the wedding:
